Risleten Gorge
The hike to the Risleten Gorge starts directly behind the hotel. After a descent into the gorge, you hike through a lot of forest and under rocky ledges and catch unexpectedly beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding mountains again and again.

s'Rütli
The Rütli is a mountain meadow on the ground of the municipality of Seelisberg in Uri. According to legend, the alliance of the three original cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden was made on this meadow, the so-called Rütli Oath. Take a leisurely ride on the Treib-Seelisberg railway to Treib. Hike around the Seelisberg peninsula to the Rütli. From there you can return to Seelisberg after a final ascent. Beautiful viewing terraces, restaurants and the idyllic mountain bathing lake invite you to relax.

Game observation trail
Switzerland's unique wildlife observation trail leads from Niederbauen across lush green alpine meadows to Emmetten Stockhütte. On the way, you will learn many interesting facts about the local wild animal and bird life on information boards. If you want to be sure that you will not only see the animals on the information boards but also see them in the flesh, you can book a guided wildlife observation tour.
